Rosé gives insights on her new solo work rosie; enlists movies which are relatable to the album

On December 6, 2024, Rosé from famous K-group BLACKPINK is set to release her complete studio solo album, Rosie, marking her solo comeback. She shared her favorite lyrics from the album and discussed the process of getting ready for her solo career before it was released. Additionally, she provided the films that best capture her new track.

The magazine i-D published an exclusive interview with Rosé on November 18, 2024, which covered a number of topics related to her profession. She shared the lyrics of the song: “I can forgive you for a lot of things, for not giving me back my Tiffany rings. But I’ll never forgive you for one thing, my dear, you wasted my prettiest years.”

When asked which films she would like to relate her album to, she mentioned Inside Out, Sex and the City, and How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days. Because she had gone through a similar toxic relationship, Rosé claimed that she could relate to How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days because it depicted a toxic couple. People frequently remarked that she reminded them of Carrie Bradshaw, so she brought up Sex and the City. Last but not least, she selected Inside Out because it examines emotions and the process of coping with them, mirroring the candor and depth of feeling she put into her record.

As a pre-release and lead single for her next solo album Rosie, Rosé has revealed that her brand-new single, Number One Girl, will be released on November 22, 2024. Before the album’s release, the artist hosted a private listening session for eighty of her fans. Number One Girl, Drinks or Coffee, Two Years, 3AM, Game Boy, APT, Stay a Little Longer, Too Bad For Us, Call It The End, Not The Same, Toxic Till The End, and Dance All Night are among the record’s twelve tracks.
