Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6: RE’s First All Electric Motorcycle Revealed

Royal Enfield has launched it first all electric motorcycle called the Flying Flea C6. The Flying Flea is their new sub-brand which will cater to all electric motorcycles in the upcoming future. The C6 is an interesting bike, Royal Enfield has taken a minimalistic and lightweight approach towards achieving the C6’s design.

The motorcycles employs a lightweight forged aluminum frame and particular attention has been given to be lightweight. It features body parts which look like an exo-skeleton. The motorcycle features a circular LED headlamp, a fake fuel tank, alloy wheels, and a circular TFT screen. Royal Enfield has also given the motorcycle a single seat but they say that a pillion seat will be optional.

There are no technical details available for the motorcycle but we can see it gets regular front forks and a mono-shock at the rear. It will feature a battery encased in magnesium which will be aiding in cooling and will also help save weight.

Flying Flea By Royal Enfield

Royal Enfield will be adding more motorcycles to the Flying Flea lineup. The name has been derived from early days of the brand when they were making motorcycles for the second world war and the Flying Flea was a lightweight motorcycle which could be airdropped using a parachute behind enemy lines. It was a marvelous concept and Royal Enfield has revived the name for their all electric brand.

 

Royal Enfield has started off with the C6 but has also showcased the S6 which is a scrambler version of the same and will feature long travel suspension, off-road tyres, a flat seat and spoked wheels.
