Royal Enfield Scram 440: Launched with 443cc engine, switchable ABS and two variants

Delhi Delhi. Royal Enfield has introduced a new version of the Himalayan-based Scrambler, the Scram 440, with ex-showroom prices starting at ₹2.08 lakh. This new model replaces the existing Scram 411, offering a larger engine, increased power, better features and new color options. First unveiled at Motoverse 2024, the Scram 440 retains the design principles of its predecessor, reminiscent of the earlier Himalayan models.

The Scram 440 is available in two primary variants: Trail and Force. The entry-level Trail variant, priced at ₹2.08 lakh, has spoke wheels and is available in two color options: blue and green. The Force variant, which is priced at ₹2.15 lakh, is equipped with alloy rims and includes a tripper navigation pod. This variant is available in three color options: Blue, Gray and Teal.

Powered by a new 443 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, the Scram 440 comes with an upgraded six-speed gearbox that produces 25.4 BHP at 6,250 RPM and 34 Nm of torque at 4,000 RPM. The new 440 model is equipped with a larger bore than the 411 model, making 4.5 percent more power and 6.5 percent more torque. Additionally, a new pull-type clutch has been added to enhance durability.

The Scram 440 now comes with a newly upgraded 300 mm front disc and 240 mm rear disc brake. These new brakes are equipped with a double-channel ABS that is switchable at the rear. Now available in two options, spoked and alloy wheels, the new Scram 440 comes with the option of tubeless tyres. Equipped with new LED headlamps, which are now standard on all Royal Enfield models, the 440 features the same digi-analogue instrument cluster with tripper dials. The new 440 also has a set of USB ports and switchable ABS.
