Problems increase for RR manager Romi Bhinder, BCCI may take action against using phone in dugout

Despite the win against RCB in Guwahati, RR team manager Romi Bhinder is in the news.

Actually, a few days ago a video of Romi Bhinder went viral on social media in which she was seen using the phone in the team’s dugout. In a video clip going viral on social media, Romi Bhinder is seen sitting with Vaibhav Suryavanshi and the team manager can be seen using his phone. After this video went viral, fans are also demanding BCCI’s intervention in the matter.

There is a strict ban on the use of mobile phones during IPL matches. As per the clear guidelines of the IPL, the use of personal electronic devices is prohibited in the team dugouts during live matches. This is to maintain a professional attitude and avoid any potential protocol violations. This is the reason why Bhinder’s troubles seem to be increasing.

According to PTI, a BCCI official said, “Yes, Bhinder has indeed violated the ‘Player and Match Officials Area’ (PMOA) protocol, as there is a ban on carrying a phone in the dugout during the match. The team manager can use the phone in the dressing room, but not in the dugout. This may be unintentional, but some action will definitely be taken on this, as this is considered a violation of the protocol. He will be warned or he will be banned for the match. It will depend on the report of the match referee and ACU. Based on that report, the Governing Council (GC) of IPL can take a decision.

In such a situation, it remains to be seen what action will be taken against Bhinder, but some action is expected to be taken against him and his franchise in the coming days. Let us tell you that after registering their fourth win, Rajasthan Royals’ next match will be against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Both the teams will face each other in the 21st match of the tournament on April 12 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Given their current form, RR will look to continue their winning streak, while SRH will hope to improve their performance significantly.
