New Delhi: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is all set to conduct the online written exam for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) from today, November 25, 2024. It will be conducting the RRB ALP exam in three shifts from November 25 to 29, 2024. Candidates who had registered for the RRB ALP recruitment 2024 drive must download their admit card from the official website and carry the same to the exam centre to appear for the computer-based test exam.
Aspirants are suggested to get familiar with the RRB ALP shift timings along with exam pattern and exam day guidelines before appearing for the CBT exam.

RRB ALP exam pattern
Candidates must get familiar with the RRB ALP exam pattern before appearing for the exam. The RRB ALP exam consists of four subjects – Mathematics, General Intelligence, General Science and General Awareness and Current Affairs. The duration of exam is one hour. Candidates who qualify in the RRB ALP CBT 1 exam will be eligible to appear for the CBT 2.
- Mathematics: 20 questions
- General Intelligence: 25 questions
- General Science: 20 questions
- General Awareness and Current Affairs: 10 questions
- Total: 75 questions
RRB ALP exam guidelines
- Candidates must carry a valid RRB ALP admit card along with a photo identity card for verification purpose.
- All electronic gadgets including smart watches are prohibited inside the exam hall
- No study material or books are allowed inside the exam centre
