RRB Technician Recruitment: Technician will be recruited on 6565 posts, approval received from Railway Ministry, notification will be issued soon.
Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has given the green signal to the recruitment to the posts of Technician for the year 2026-27. Under this recruitment approved by the Railway Ministry, appointments will be made to a total of 6,565 posts. These appointments will be made in various railway zones (like Northern Railway, Western Railway, Central Railway etc.) and production units across the country. At present short notification has been issued, detailed notification will be issued soon. After the start of the application process, candidates will be able to apply. There is a possibility that the process of online application may start from June 2026. Candidates are advised to keep an eye on the official website of Railway Recruitment Board (rrbcdg.gov.in) for information related to this recruitment.

Age Limit: Generally the age of the candidate should be between 18 to 33 years. Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) will be given age relaxation as per government rules.
- 18-33 years for Technician Grade-I Signal
- 18-30 years for Technician Grade-III
Educational Qualification: Have B.E/B.Tech, Engineering Diploma or B.Sc degree from a recognized university. Technician Grade-III for Open Line, Workshop and PU Port must have passed 10th class with ITI certificate in relevant trade. Or 12th passed with PCM.
Selection Process: The selection process will take place in various stages.
- CBT (Computer Based Test): Objective questions will be asked in this. There will also be a provision for negative marking in the exam.
- Document Verification: The certificates of the candidates who qualify the CBT will be scrutinized.
- medical tests: Physical and medical health will be examined as per Railway standards.
