The police has solved the case of robbery of Rs 10 lakh in Laxmi Nagar area of Delhi within just 24 hours. The most shocking thing was that the victim’s son turned out to be the mastermind of this incident. Police have arrested three accused and along with the looted money have also recovered the scooter used in the crime.
The incident took place on March 31, 2026, when the police received information through a PCR call that two unknown assailants, with their faces covered, opened fire and looted Rs 10 lakh. As soon as the information was received, a case was registered at Laxmi Nagar police station and investigation was started. Seeing the seriousness of the incident, the police immediately formed a special team.
More than 200 CCTV footages were scrutinized
This team proceeded with the investigation rapidly. The police analyzed more than 200 CCTV footage and used electronic data as well as information received from local informers. During the investigation, it was revealed that the complainant’s son Tavleen alias Rahat was also involved in this robbery. Police arrested him from Mukherjee Nagar area when he was trying to escape.
During interrogation, it was revealed that his two associates Mohit Kumar Tiwari and Pankaj had fled towards Bihar by taking a bus from Anand Vihar after the incident. The police chased the bus quickly and stopped it at the Lucknow toll plaza and arrested both the accused.
Bought the pistol for Rs 45 thousand
The accused told during interrogation that this entire incident was planned in advance. Mohit Kumar Tiwari had purchased the pistol from Munger, Bihar for about Rs 45 thousand. At the time of the incident, Tavleen was driving the scooter, while Mohit was sitting behind and firing the bullet. Pankaj was also involved in this conspiracy.
Police have recovered the looted money from the possession of the accused. Besides, the white colored Activa scooter, which was used in the crime, has also been confiscated. However, efforts are still underway to recover the weapon used in the incident.
The three accused had no criminal record
The investigation also revealed that the three accused had no criminal record. He committed this crime out of the greed to earn quick money and live a luxurious life. The special thing is that the main accused Tavleen used to help his father in his printing work, while both his companions were unemployed.
