The government has provided a total financial assistance of Rs 20 lakh to the families of the deceased couple and has also announced to bear the entire education expenses of their children. This unfortunate accident happened when government teacher Jaskaran Singh was going to drop his wife Kamaljeet Kaur for election duty. Due to dense fog and very low visibility in Baghapurana area of ​​Moga, his car lost balance and fell into a deep ditch on the roadside.

In this accident both of them died on the spot. Not only the family, but the entire education world and the state were shocked by this incident. As soon as information about the incident was received, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann instructed the officials to take immediate action. Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwa himself reached the house of the victim’s family and expressed condolences on behalf of the government. He assured the family that the government will not leave the children alone in this hour of grief and will take full responsibility for their future.

As per the instructions of the Chief Minister, the district administration completed the process of releasing assistance amount of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of the two deceased teachers without any delay. Along with this, the government also made it clear that the state will bear the entire expense of children’s school and higher education, so that the dreams of the parents do not remain unfulfilled and the children do not face any hindrance in moving forward.
