Manchester United are reportedly exploring the market for a midfield reinforcement ahead of the January transfer window, and Ruben Neves has emerged as a surprise name on their radar. According to reports, the Red Devils have already held initial talks over a potential move for the Portuguese midfielder, sparking fresh speculation about a possible return to European football.
Neves, who currently plies his trade with Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal, only made the switch to the Middle East last year but could be tempted by a move back to the Premier League. The former Wolves captain enjoyed a strong reputation in England for his leadership, long-range shooting ability and composure in midfield, qualities that Manchester United are believed to be keen on adding to their squad.
It is understood that Al Hilal are open to listening to offers and are seeking a fee in excess of £15 million to part ways with the experienced midfielder.
