According to Theirsspeaking at an event on Tuesday, the 50-year-old actress said that throughout their nine-year marriage, Huo, 47, has never cooked a complete meal.
Before marrying her, he only knew how to steam dumplings and prepare instant noodles. After they wed, he would help her in the kitchen only by fetching water while she cooked.
“I’ve never eaten a dish he cooked,” Lin said, adding that she has never asked him to learn how to cook and does not see the need to change his habits or personality.
In contrast, Lin enjoys learning how to bake and make drinks. On her husband’s and daughter’s birthdays, she often prepares elaborate meals and bakes cakes tailored to her family’s tastes.
She also described Huo as having a simple personality and few material needs. He used the same mobile phone for six years and was reluctant to replace it even after the screen cracked. Additionally, he is “easy to please” because of his simple tastes and lack of pickiness with food. His two favorite dishes are stir-fried dried tofu with pork and eggs cooked with tomatoes, which he can eat for weeks on end without getting bored. These dishes frequently appear on the family’s dining table.
However, Lin said, he is highly attentive and indulgent when it comes to their daughter’s needs.

Reflecting on their marriage, Lin said she and Huo have never had serious arguments, only minor disagreements that she considers a natural part of married life. Over time, both have become more mature and better at controlling their tempers. They never argue in front of their daughter, choosing instead to discuss and resolve issues after she has gone to sleep.
Appearing on the reality show “See You Again” last year, Lin revealed that she and her husband keep their finances separate. She said it is not important who manages the money, but rather that both partners devote time to caring for the home and their child.
Lin began her acting career in 1995 with a minor role and rose to prominence for her portrayal of Xia Ziwei in the hit television series “My Fair Princess.” In 2009, she founded her own studio and has since produced both television dramas and films.
Huo entered the entertainment industry at 17 as an assistant to Taiwanese television host Sam Tseng and later gained widespread recognition for his role in the 2003 drama “At Dolphin Bay.”
