Two robbers who came on a bike, looted gold and silver jewelery worth about Rs 26 lakh and Rs 60 thousand in cash and ran away. The incident occurred when Shekhar Soni, owner of Ruchi Jewellers, came down from his residence just above his shop and was opening the shop. After opening the shop, Shekhar Soni placed a bag containing the jewelery and cash he had brought with him on the rack of the shop. As soon as he placed the bag on the rack, suddenly a young man came inside the shop and quickly snatched the bag and ran away. The other youth was already waiting outside after starting the motorcycle wearing a helmet. After the robbery, both the robbers quickly fled towards Ranchi on a bike.

Incident captured in CCTV footage

As soon as information about the incident was received, Angada police station reached the spot and immediately started investigation. Police is scanning all the CCTV footage of the surrounding area. It has been told that the face of the robber who snatched the bag has been clearly captured in the CCTV camera installed in the shop. The footage has revealed that some time before carrying out the robbery, the robber was standing outside the shop continuously talking to someone on the mobile, which makes it clear that the robbery was planned with complete preparation and recce.
