Ever since the popular show Anupamaa declared a 15-year time leap, it has been embroiled in controversy. Although Rupali Ganguly, the lead cast of the show was retained, most of the ensemble cast had to bid farewell. Moreover, some had already quit before the leap. Amidst these exits, certain reports claimed that Rupali’s relationship with her cast members played a role in these departures. Reportedly, Madalsa Sharma who played Kavya in the show, was trolled for calling Rupali Ganguly ‘Two Faced’ in one of her interviews. Now, Rushad Rana who played Aniruddh Gandhi in the show reacted to these rumours during a recent interview.
Sharing his thoughts, Rushad said, “I don't know, I think to each its own. Rupali has been an exceptional co-actor. Jaan, she is busy in her work. I don't think she would stoop to such an extent. But like I said, what has happened with Madalsa or what has happened with anyone else, I wouldn't know,” during an interview with Siddharth Kannan.

Moreover, the show’s producer Rajan Shahi has also been under headlines after mass exits. While talking about his experience while working with the two, he noted, “It was fantastic. Rajan Shahi and Rupali, dono ke sath, it has been amazing.” Meanwhile, Rushad also clarified that he did not quit the show, and revealed that his character in Anupamaa was brought to an end. The 44-year-old actor also expressed his wish to work with Rajan Shahi once again.
Not long ago, actress Madalsa Sharma, who played Kavya, announced her decision to quit the hit show Anupamaa after four years. In an interview with India Today, the actress revealed that she left the show due to her static character graph. When asked about her equation with the show’s lead actress, she said, “My equation with Rupali has been extremely nice. We are very friendly, like how we are on the sets with our co-actors. We all become friends at the end of the day.” She further added, “However, you have to realise that when you are working together for so many years, you are bound to have arguments and differences once in a while.”
Meanwhile, Sudhanshu Pandey, who enthralled his fans with his role as Vanraj Shah in Anupamaa, announced his departure from the show through an Instagram Live. He apologised to his fans for the shocking news and expressed gratitude for loving his character.
