Russell Crowe & Luke Hemsworth MMA Movie Beast Gets Thrilling Trailer
Lionsgate has released the full trailer for Beastits newest sports action drama starring award-winning actor Russell Crowe (Gladiator). The movie is scheduled to make its debut in theaters on April 10, 2026, pitting it directly against Dacre Montgomery’s Faces of Death remake and Riz Ahmed’s Hamlet film.
“After years away from the cage, a once-feared MMA champion is pulled back in for the fight of his life when his younger brother is put in danger. Reuniting with the trainer who once made him a legend, he commits to one final showdown against the reigning title-holder — a brutal fighter determined to dismantle the ex-champ’s legacy in front of the world,” reads the official synopsis. “Pushed to his breaking point, the contender’s stakes are simple: win, or lose everything he’s built.”

What happens in the Beast trailer?
The video shows a former MMA fighter who must come out of retirement for the sake of his family’s safety, as well as to pay for his brother’s debts. To become the champion he once was, he enlisted the help of his former trainer, portrayed by Crowe. The trailer highlights his exciting return to the ring, as well as the rigorous training he’ll go through.
Beast is directed by Tyler Atkins (Ocean Boy), with David Frigerio (Land Of Bad, Muzzle) writing the screenplay. The movie also stars Daniel MacPherson (Land of Bad), Luke Hemsworth (Westworld), Bren Foster (The Last Ship), Amy Shark (Love, Simon), Mojean Aria (The Enforcer), and Kelly Gale (Plane). It is produced by John Schwarz, Frigerio, Michael Schwarz, and Tim O’Hair.
