Russia gave a big offer to India, China and Pakistan were shocked!
New Delhi. The role of stealth technology and fifth generation fighter aircraft is continuously increasing in modern warfare. Meanwhile, Russia has made a big offer of its advanced Su-57 stealth fighter jet to India, which is being considered an important step towards increasing the capability of the Indian Air Force.
1. Russia’s big defense proposal
According to reports, Russia has proposed to provide two squadrons of about 36 to 40 Su-57 fighter aircraft to India. The deal is likely to be completed by 2030–31 if the two countries reach an agreement this year.
2. Delivery and Timeline
Under the proposed plan, initial deliveries of these aircraft could begin in late 2027 or early 2028. By the end of the decade, the entire squadron can be inducted into the Indian Air Force, which will significantly increase India’s air power.
3. Importance of stealth technology
In today’s time, it is very difficult to detect stealth fighter jets through radar. Their radar cross section is very low, due to which they are capable of dodging the enemy air defense system and carrying out precise attacks.
4. Current needs of India
The Indian Air Force is currently exploring options to meet the shortage of fifth generation fighter aircraft. An interim solution is needed until the indigenous AMCA (Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft) project is ready in the 2030s.
5. Production and Technical Upgrade
Russia plans to increase Su-57 production to 16 to 20 aircraft per year by 2027. There are also preparations to upgrade them with new generation engines in the future, which will further increase their capacity.
6. Strategic impact and regional equations
This proposal is being considered important from the point of view of regional security balance. This will increase the strength of India’s Air Force and may also affect the strategic equations in South Asia.
