Russia ready to keep 440 kg of Iran’s uranium, Trump disagrees
Desk: Russian President Vladimir Putin has made a significant offer to Washington to resolve the dispute between Iran and the United States. During a phone conversation on Wednesday (April 29), Putin told Trump that if they keep 440 kg of enriched uranium, it would resolve the nuclear weapons issue forever. This part of the conversation was revealed by the British newspaper The Daily Mail. According to the report, Putin suggested transferring it to Russia, and Iran would agree to this. However, US President Trump flatly rejected Putin’s offer. Trump stated that transferring the enriched uranium to the United States was the only solution. According to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Iran currently possesses 440 kg of uranium enriched to 60 percent. Iran wants to enrich it to 90 percent. After this, Iran could easily produce 11 nuclear weapons.
