Russian climbers Dhaulagiri mountain : Five Russian climbers who went missing on Dhaulagiri mountain, the world's seventh highest peak, were found dead on Tuesday at an altitude of more than seven thousand meters. According to Mingma Sherpa, vice president of Heli Everest, which was involved in the search and rescue operation, the five Russian climbers were aiming to scale Nepal's seventh-highest peak during the autumn mountaineering season.

The Russian climbers have been identified as Alexander Dushenko, Oleg Kruglov, Vladimir Chistikov, Mikhail Nosenko and Dmitry Shpilevoi. After leaving the high camp at 6 in the morning, he lost contact with the base camp while attempting to climb the summit. Sherpa told 'PTI' that all of them were moving towards the 8,167 meter high peak with the help of a rope and during this time they went missing. He said that with the help of helicopter, the bodies were found at an altitude of 7,700 meters.

Nepal Tourism Department Director Rakesh Gurung said that the rescue operation could not be carried out on Monday due to bad weather. Another Russian climber was rescued from base camp by helicopter, he said.
