Production on the film began in August 2025, with Lucasfilm announcing the full cast which includes Flynn Gray, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings, and Matt Smith.
Jonathan Tropper has written the film, which is produced by Levy and Kathleen Kennedy.
The Mandalorian and Grogu will be the next release from the Star Wars franchise. A spinoff to series, The Mandalorianthe film sees the return of Pedro Pascal as the titular character from the series. Jon Favreau directs the film which is set to release theatrically in 2026.
