In fact, in the year 2008, in the very first season of IPL, this controversy took place in the Mumbai Indians vs Punjab Kings match. After this match, former Indian spin bowler Harbhajan Singh criticized Indian fast bowler S. Sreesanth was slapped on the field, after which Sreesanth was seen crying. After this incident, BCCI took action against Bhajji and banned him for the entire season and his match fee was also deducted.
