SA vs IND | Twitter roars as Arshdeep outsmarts Markram turning two fours into a stunning comeback

‌India’s innings started steadily, reaching 24/0 in three overs before Abhishek Sharma fell after India were asked to bat first. Suryakumar Yadav and Sanju Samson took the score to 56/1 by the powerplay, with Samson smashing a fifty off 27 balls and later achieving a stunning 47-ball century. Tilak Varma contributed a quick 33, but Samson’s 107 off 50 balls was the highlight. Despite a slowdown in the final overs, India surpassed 200, ending at 202/8 in 20 overs. In response, South Africa started strong with Aiden Markram hitting two consecutive boundaries. However, Arshdeep Singh quickly struck back, dismissing Markram soon after.

Arshdeep started the over by delivering a length ball that shaped back into Aiden Markram, who played a thick inside edge that rolled to Bishnoi at square leg without scoring. The next two balls saw Markram find his timing, driving the ball beautifully to cover and mid-off. Arshdeep, visibly dejected, walked back to bowl the fourth delivery, which was another length ball around off stump. Markram attempted to drive again, but this time he edged the ball, which was safely taken behind the stumps by Samson. The left-arm pacer was visibly pumped after dismissing the Proteas captain, having had the last laugh following two back-to-back boundaries. The Twitterverse celebrated with Arshdeep as he claimed the crucial wicket.
