Bosh dismissed the Pakistani captain on the first ball of his test debut, this has never happened before in the history of cricket.
Delhi: The Boxing Day Test between India and Australia started in Melbourne today, i.e. from 26th December, in which 19 year old Sam Constas scored a brilliant half-century on debut. On the other hand, the Test series between South Africa and Pakistan also started from today. In the first Test being played at Centurion Sports Park, the host South African team won the toss and decided to bowl first. The top order of the Pakistani team, which came to bat first, faltered badly. The opening pair of captain Shan Masood and Saim Ayyub returned to the pavilion within 40 runs even before the 16th over.

Even after the opening pair was out, the process of falling wickets continued. Former Pakistan captain and leading batsman Babar Azam, who was in poor form, once again disappointed. Babar was out to Dan Pietersen after scoring only 4 runs. After this, Saud Shakeel also returned to the pavilion in the 19th over after scoring 14 runs. In this way Pakistan lost its 4 wickets within 56 runs. During this time, a South African bowler created a new history by taking a wicket in his debut test.
The first blow to Pakistan came in the form of captain Shan Masood, who was out after scoring 17 runs. South Africa's 30-year-old fast bowling all-rounder Corbin Bosch performed a great feat by dismissing Shan Masood on the first ball of his Test career. With this wicket, Corbyn became the 25th bowler in the history of Test cricket to take a wicket with his first ball and only the fifth South African bowler to achieve this feat.
In fact, in 2024, Bosh is the third bowler after West Indies' Shamar Joseph and South Africa's Tsepo Moraki to achieve this feat. This is the first time that three bowlers have made this record in one calendar year.
