‘Sab Animal Ban Gaye’: Baaghi 4 First Poster Draws Flak Over Similarities With Ranbir Kapoor-Starrer
This year, Bollywood star Tiger Shroff made a smashing entry into Rohit Shetty’s cop universe with Singham Again. The film, which clashed with Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 at the box office, proved to be a blockbuster. However, the actor isn’t resting on his laurels. On Tuesday morning, Tiger delighted fans by announcing his next venture—Baaghi 4, slated to release on September 5, 2025.
The fourth instalment of the action-thriller franchise will be helmed by Kannada filmmaker A Harsha, marking his Bollywood directorial debut. Tiger unveiled the film’s first-look poster, which has already created a buzz. In the striking visual, the actor is seen sitting on a toilet seat in a bathroom-turned-crime scene. Sporting a buzz cut, Tiger exudes a raw, edgy vibe with a bottle of alcohol in one hand, a butcher knife in the other, and a cigarette in his mouth. Dressed in shorts and an open jacket that highlights his chiselled abs, the poster hints at a darker and more intense storyline.
Sharing the poster on social media, Tiger captioned it: “A darker spirit, a bloodier mission. This time he is not the same! #SajidNadiadwala’s #Baaghi4 Directed by @nimmaaharsha.” While fans are excited, the poster has drawn comparisons to recent Bollywood hits.
Netizens were quick to point out similarities with the climax scene of Ranbir Kapoor’s 2023 blockbuster Animal. “This looks heavily inspired from the last scene in Animal,” commented one user, while another wrote, “Ab sab Animal ban gaye—bas karo bhai!” Others likened Tiger’s look to Shahid Kapoor’s portrayal in Kabir Singh (2019). One social media user remarked, “Very Kabir Singh meets Animal vibes,” while another said, “What nonsense… looks like a mashup of both!”
Interestingly, both Animal and Kabir Singh were directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and were praised for their gripping narratives but criticised for promoting toxic masculinity. With Baaghi 4, Tiger Shroff promises to bring a new dimension to his action-hero persona.
As fans debate the poster’s influences, all eyes are now on Baaghi 4 and how it will shape up under A Harsha’s direction. Will it live up to the franchise’s legacy or set new benchmarks? Only time will tell.
