Sahibzada Farhan Smashes Ton As Sultans Cruise Past Kingsmen in PSL Clash

A solid century from Sahibzada Farhan has set up Multan Sultans for a 6-wicket victory in the mammoth 226 run chase against Hyderabad Kings in the PSL 2026 game played at Lahore.

With this win, they made a significant movement in the PSL 2026 points table. After choosing to bat first, Saim Ayub and Maaz Sadaqat opened the innings for Hyderabad Kingsmen while Shehzad Gul opened the bowling attack.

A decent start has given 74 runs in the powerplay and a solid fifty from Maaz Sadaqat has set a base to put mammoth runs in scoreboard.

Ashton Turner bagged the wicket of Marnus while Mohammad Nawaz bagged the wicket of Maaz Sadaqat for 62 runs.

Usman Khan and Syed Saad Ali added 25 and 23 runs before being dismissed by Mohammad Wasim Jr. With an unbeaten 51* and 22* runs from Sharjeel Khan and Irfan Khan, Hyderbad Kingsmen scored 225 runs in their 20 over innings.

Mohammad Wasim Jr bagged two wickets while, Ashton Turner, Peter Siddle and Mohammad Nawaz bagged one wicket each.

Chasing a mammoth run target, Sahibzada Farhan and Steven Smith opened the innings while Maheesh Theekshana opened the bowling attack.

The opener duo made a solid start scoring 83 runs in the powerplay and made a 104-run partnership for the first wicket.

However, Hassan Khan got the first breakthrough bagging the wicket of Steve Smith for 46 runs while Farhan smashed his fifty.

Saim Ayub bagged the wicket of Josh Phillippe and Shan Masood for 9 and 29 runs. However, Sahibzada Farhan went on to bat and steadily chased the target. After Ashton Turner’s dismissal, Arafat Minhas joined Farhan to complete the chase.

Sahibzada Farhan smashed his century and completed the chase where he remained unbeaten with 106 runs. Meawhile Minhas scored 26* in the innings.

Despite Saim Ayub picked two wickets and a wicket tally each from Mahesh Theekshana and Hassan khan, Multan Sultans went on to complete the chase in the 19th over.

Sahibzada Farhan was named player of the match. Multan Sultans will play their next match against Lahore Qalandars on April 03 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
