Sai Pallavi Said Miscast in One Day: There was a lot of discussion before its release about the romantic drama film ‘Ek Din’ produced by Aamir Khan. The film earned around Rs 4 crore in a week, which is considered much less than the expectations of the makers. Meanwhile, a statement of Sai Pallavi has also come into discussion, in which she called herself wrongly cast for the film.
Magic did not work at the box office
‘Ek Din’ was presented as an emotional and soft romantic film. It was expected from the film that it would bring the audience to the theaters on the basis of its content. But this did not seem to happen. The film’s earnings were slow from the first day and the occupancy was also very weak. The film could barely collect Rs 4 crore in seven days.
Weak word of mouth and mixed reviews on social media also caused a lot of damage to the film. At many places, theater owners reduced its shows due to low audience. Ultimately the film had to be removed from many theaters within a week of its release.
Sai Pallavi called herself a miscast
During the promotion of the film, Sai Pallavi spoke openly about her performance in a conversation. She said, ‘I feel that I became more serious than necessary in some scenes, which could have been done in a simpler manner. And I think I was wrongly cast in this film.
Sai Pallavi further told that when she watched the film with Aamir Khan for the first time, she remained silent for some time. After this he asked how he liked the film, ‘I told him that I don’t think I should have done this film and I think I was not right for this character. A new face was needed for this role. In which there was some playfulness.
While Sai Pallavi herself was not happy about her casting, Junaid Khan praised her a lot. During the conversation, he said that he argues with his father on many things but here he agrees with him.

‘Ek Din’ was a remake of Thai film
Let us tell you that the film ‘Ek Din’ was the Hindi remake of the Thai romantic drama film ‘One Day’ released in 2016. The story of the film revolves around a young man who loves his colleague but is never able to express his feelings. Then suddenly he gets a chance to spend a day with her and the story progresses from there.
Fans were waiting to see Sai Pallavi in Bollywood films for a long time. There were a lot of expectations about this film from Sai, who is famous for his strong acting and natural screen presence in South Indian films. But the performance of ‘Ek Din’ is being considered a big setback for his Bollywood debut.
