Saif Ali Khan attack: Third part of the knife used in the attack recovered from Bandra Lake
Mumbai: The third piece of the knife used in the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra house on January 16 has been recovered. A police officer gave this information on Thursday.
Saif was allegedly attacked by Bangladeshi national Shariful Islam Shahzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Faqir (30) alias Vijay Das, who was living in the country illegally.
A Bandra police station official said, “The third piece of the knife, which includes the handle and part of the blade, was recovered from near Bandra Pond. The place where the knife part was recovered is more than a kilometer away from the actor's house in Satguru Sharan Building. “We took the accused near the lake on Wednesday evening and recovered the missing part of the knife.”

The officer said that during the attack, a piece of the knife broke off and got stuck near the actor's spine, which was removed by the doctors of Lilavati Hospital, while the other part was found in Saif's house after conducting Panchnama.

The officer said that after walking 1.4 kilometers after the incident, the accused showed us where he had thrown the knife.
“He (the accused) told us that he had stolen the knife from the restaurant in Thane where he worked,” the police officer said.
