Actor Saif Ali Khan was hospitalized early Thursday morning after being attacked with a knife during an attempted burglary at his Bandra residence. The incident occurred around 2:30 AM when an unidentified intruder entered the actor’s home. Khan sustained multiple stab wounds, including two deep injuries, and was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he is currently undergoing surgery.
In an official statement, Khan’s team confirmed the incident, stating, “There was an attempted burglary at Mr. Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter”.
The actor’s wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, was present in the house along with other family members during the attack.
The Mumbai Police have launched an investigation to trace the intruder and ensure his arrest. The incident has sent shockwaves through the film industry and among fans, who have taken to social media to express their concern and wish the actor a speedy recovery.
