Out of danger after surgery, investigation continues – Obnews

Taking major action, the police have made the first arrest in the case of fatal attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. A suspect has been detained from Chhattisgarh. Police had received information that the accused was traveling in Dnyaneshwari Express. With the help of local police and RPF, he was removed from the train and arrested.

Shalimar Gyaneshwari Express runs between Mumbai and Kolkata. At present the police is thoroughly investigating this matter. The mobile number of the detained suspect was registered in the name of Rajendra Kodepe, resident of Rajnandgaon, Dongargarh district, Chhattisgarh. Mumbai Police and RPF Inspector Sanjeev Sinha have shared important information in this matter.

Police got big success
Till now no concrete evidence has been found in this case. But after continuous investigation, the police finally got success. The suspect was detained from the general compartment of the train in Durg, Chhattisgarh. The accused has been identified as Akash Kailash Kanojia. He has given his address as Deepa Nagar, Colaba, Mumbai. At present, the police is interrogating him.

The attacker had entered the house at night
The incident took place on the night of January 15-16, when a man entered Saif Ali Khan's house with the intention of stealing. The incident occurred around 2 am, when the attacker reached the room of the actor's younger son Jahangir (Jeh). The accused was moving towards Jeh, but then Saif came in between and tried to stop him. Meanwhile, the attacker attacked him with a sharp weapon.

Saif was seriously injured in this attack. A knife about one and a half inches long got stuck in his spinal cord, which required a long surgery to remove it. During the incident, his son Jeh's nanny also sustained injuries. At present, Saif's condition is stable.

Identification and photographs of the attacker released
Mumbai Police has released two new photographs in this case. In these pictures, a black bag is seen on the back of the accused, on which Fast Track is written. This bag was purchased from the local street market. Investigation has also revealed that after the attack, the accused went to Bandra Railway Station and from there reached Dadar.

Mumbai Police has now left for Chhattisgarh to interrogate accused Akash. The police is thoroughly investigating every aspect to get to the bottom of this matter.
