Saif Ali Khan case: Police take accused to actor’s house to recreate the crime scene

New Delhi: Mumbai Police are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to get to the bottom of the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case. With the investigation in full swing, the arrested accused was taken to multiple locations on Tuesday (January 21, 2025) to recreate the crime scene.

At 5 am, the accused – identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir – was taken from the police station to Bandra Railway Station, where he was first spotted on CCTV. Following this, the police brought him to Saif’s apartment in the Satguru Sharan building.

Inside the actor’s residence, the police spent approximately one and a half hours recreating the crime scene with the accused. After this, they visited National College, where Shehzad had slept the night after committing the crime. When these visits were completed, the accused was taken back to Bandra Police Station.

Attacked hid in garden of Saif’s building

It is to be united that Shehzad was remanded to police custody for five days on Sunday (January 19, 2025). He had been arrested by the police in Thane, three days after the violent attack on the 54-year-old Bollywood star.

A police official told PTI on Monday (January 20, 2025) that the alleged attacker hid in the garden of the Bandra building for two hours after stabbing Saif. The official added that the accused was lying low out of fear of getting caught.

Saif was stabbed multiple times by the intruder, after which he underwent a five-hour surgery at the nearby Lilavati Hospital. The actor is now believed to be recovering well.
