Saif Ali Khan’s attacker got inspired by Shah Rukh Khan’s movie, illegally entered India via…

In a shocking turn of events, Saif Ali Khan’s attacker, Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, a Bangladeshi national, seems to have a story similar to a thriller film. New details about the case have emerged, revealing how Fakir entered India illegally and lived under a fake identity. According to a Mumbai Police investigation, the accused crossed the Dawki River along the India-Bangladesh border in Meghalaya about seven months ago to enter India. Fakir then used the Aadhaar card of a West Bengal resident to obtain a SIM card. The Indian Express reported that he spent weeks in West Bengal, where he attempted, unsuccessfully, to create an Aadhaar card for himself.

It looks like the attacker of Saif Ali Khan is a true Shah Rukh Khan fan and took inspiration from his movie Dunk.

The 30-year-old attacker, who adopted the alias Bijoy Das, was arrested from Thane, Maharashtra, in the early hours of Sunday, three days after breaking into Saif Ali Khan’s Bandra residence with the intent to rob. During the robbery attempt, he engaged in a scuffle with Saif Ali Khan, stabbing the actor six times.

Further investigations have revealed that the SIM card Fakir was using was registered under the name Khukumoni Jahangir Sekh from West Bengal. Police suspect that Fakir misused Sekh’s Aadhaar card to obtain it. After staying in Bengal for a while, Fakir made his way to Mumbai in search of a job, deliberately avoiding workplaces requiring official identification documents.

Fakir reportedly worked in pubs and hotels in the Thane and Worli areas with the help of a labour contractor named Amit Pandey. During interrogation, Fakir admitted to studying up to Class 12 in Bangladesh and claimed that poverty forced him to cross the border illegally in search of a better life.

The Mumbai Police continues to investigate the sequence of events leading to the attack on Saif Ali Khan. From illegal entry to forging identities and a violent confrontation with the actor, Fakir’s story feels like it has stepped straight out of a gripping movie script.
