Bangladesh connection of attack on Saif, police made big revelation
New Delhi. The Bangladesh connection of the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan has come to light. Mumbai Police arrested the attacker early on Sunday after several hours of search. The accused person has been arrested from Thane. After the arrest of the accused, Mumbai Police held a press conference in this regard. During this, DCP Dixit Gedam of Mumbai Crime Branch said that the accused is suspected to be a Bangladeshi.
The attacker came posing as Vijay Das
The name of the accused is Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad. His age is 30 years. Fearing arrest, he hid in the bushes. According to the police, the accused has confessed to his crime. The accused had entered Saif's house with the intention of stealing. Shahzad is suspected to be an illegal infiltrator. He changed many names to hide his identity. The accused had come to Mumbai five-six months ago. To hide his identity, he was living under the name Vijay Das. The accused does not have any Indian documents. He had entered India illegally. He worked as a housekeeper in a pub. DCP said that the arrested accused will be presented in the court. DCP said that preliminary investigation is still going on. Attack happened on Thursday
Saif Ali Khan was attacked in his house on Wednesday midnight. In this attack, Saif suffered knife wounds on his neck, back, hands and head. Injured Saif was taken to Lilavati Hospital in the night itself. A piece of knife was stuck in Saif's spinal cord. He was removed after surgery. Now his condition is said to be stable.
