Wrestler Sakshi Malik's autobiography 'Witness' launched, many revelations made regarding Bajrang-Vinesh and sexual exploitation

Chandigarh: Haryana's famous wrestler Sakshi Malik has revealed many aspects of her life in her autobiography 'Witness'. In the book, he has spoken openly about his childhood struggles, the beginning of his wrestling career and the issue of sexual exploitation prevalent in the sports world.

Serious allegations against Bajrang and Vinesh

Sakshi has also made many serious allegations against Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia in her book. He claimed that the image of his movement was tarnished when he took exemption from trials during the 2023 Asian Games. According to Sakshi, his decision made the fight for justice seem like a fight for selfishness. Sakshi also said that people close to Bajrang and Vinesh had filled their minds with greed, due to which cracks started appearing in their protests.

Sakshi also revealed in her book that the teacher who gave her tuition in her childhood molested her. I couldn't tell my family about it because I felt it was my fault. During my school days, the tuition teacher used to harass me.

On Vinesh's exit from the Paris Olympics, Sakshi said that the rules of United World Wrestling (UWW) are very strict and the player is banned for even a slight increase in weight. He said that the same thing might have happened with Vinesh also.

Sakshi Malik said that we have definitely done this much that if someone does sexual harassment then he will think 100 times whether he too should go and protest. Our fight was for our sisters and daughters. This was to end the phenomenon of sexual harassment in sports.
