New Delhi. The trailer of Sanjay Dutt’s new film Aakhri Sawaal has been released, in which a vigorous debate is shown between a professor and a student on India’s historical and political issues. The film will be released on May 15, 2026, which was earlier postponed due to the Censor Board.
The story of the film begins with an academic debate between a college professor (Sanjay Dutt) and his student (Namashi Chakraborty), which later expands to larger social and political issues of the country. The trailer mentions the 1975 Emergency, 1992 Babri Masjid controversy and other historical events, on which heated debates are seen between the two characters.
It is shown in the trailer that the student asks his professor questions related to RSS and history, while the professor in response explains the importance of debate and dialogue. Sameera Reddy, Amit Sadh and Neetu Chandra will also be seen in important roles in the film.
According to the producers, the film tries to show different viewpoints on history and ideologies through an academic debate, which then spreads to the media and society.
