Salary Cap, Tax Line Set For 2026/27 NBA Season
The NBA has officially set the salary cap for its 2026/27 season. The cap has come in at $164,961,000, which is just slightly below the league’s projection of $165MM. It represents an increase of about 6.7% on last season’s $154,647,000 cap.

- Second tax apron: $221,686,000
- Minimum salary floor: $148,465,000
- Non-taxpayer mid-level exception: $15,044,000
- Taxpayer mid-level exception: $6,064,000
- Room exception: $9,366,000
- Bi-annual exception: $5,477,000
- Maximum salaries:
- 6 years or fewer: $41,240,250
- 7-9 years: $49,488,300
- 10+ years: $57,736,350
