Salman Khan Announces Rs 10,000 Crore Mega Township & Studio In Telangana

The signing of a Rs 10,000-crore integrated township and film studio project by Salman Khan Ventures Pvt. Ltd. at the Telangana Rising Global Summit is being seen as a landmark moment for the state’s creative economy. This massive investment is the result of direct strategic outreach by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddyaimed at transforming Telangana into a global entertainment powerhouse.

Strategic Mumbai Meeting Laid the Foundation

In late October 2025, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in Mumbai as part of the Telangana Rising initiative. During the meeting, the Chief Minister actively sought Khan’s support in attracting large-scale Bollywood investments to the southern state.

Reportedly impressed by Telangana’s rapid progress in infrastructure, technology, and governance, Salman Khan assured full support in promoting the state on national and international platforms. This positive engagement eventually led to advanced negotiations for the mega studio complex in the upcoming Bharat Future City project.

Hyderabad Set to Become a Global Production Hub

The MoU signed at the summit is expected to position Hyderabad as a major global film and OTT production destination for the next decade. The project’s centrepiece will be a state-of-the-art film studio complexcapable of handling large-format film productions, OTT shows, and high-end international projects.

The studio will be supported by advanced post-production and Visual Effects (VFX) infrastructureenabling collaborations between Bollywood, Hollywood, and South Indian cinema. This is expected to foster strong North-South creative partnerships and make Telangana a preferred filming destination worldwide.

Integrated Township to Boost Luxury Tourism

Beyond filmmaking infrastructure, the project includes an ultra-premium integrated township featuring a championship golf course, race course, luxury residences, high-end retail, and hospitality zones. This blend of entertainment and luxury lifestyle is expected to significantly boost luxury tourism and investment inflows into the state.

Jobs, Talent & Long-Term Economic Impact

The Rs 10,000-crore project is projected to generate thousands of direct and indirect jobsspanning construction, film production, technical services, hospitality, and retail. The project also includes dedicated talent development programmes to train local artists, technicians, and creative professionals to meet global industry standards.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said the project will “cement Telangana’s position as one of India’s most attractive destinations for filmmaking, entertainment, and luxury tourism.” The state government has assured full regulatory support, land facilitation, and seamless infrastructure connectivity.
