salman khan (Salman Khan) has been helping people for a long time. Since 2007, he has been providing financial assistance for health and education to many needy people through his ‘Being Human’ Foundation. One such special beneficiary is Reena Raju from Karnataka. Reena had to undergo heart transplant twice. Reena openly narrated her story in a podcast called ‘Voice of Bengaluru’ with RJ Saujanya. He told that Salman Khan silently supported him the whole time and never turned away from help.
Reena Raju says that Salman sir gave her complete support during her transplant. When asked about her long relationship with Salman, Reena smiled and became emotional. She said, ‘I always get very emotional while talking about Salman sir. First of all I want to say that I love him with all my hearts and all my soul.
Message sent to Salman
Reena further says, ‘When my health was very bad and I was about to undergo my first heart transplant, I had Salman sir’s number. I messaged him, many people must be messaging him every day, but he replied to me. I told them that I was going to have an operation. At that time he was shooting a film in Australia. Still, on the night of the transplant he called me and talked for about two hours. He was very kind and loving towards my family. He gave me courage and said that everything will be fine.
Started my own foundation
Reena says that after that she had no contact with Salman sir for about two years. But when he messaged again, Salman sir immediately remembered. Reena told him that she has started her own foundation ‘Light a Life’. Salman sir not only protected him but also encouraged him a lot to move forward. In the year 2018, after the second heart transplant, Reena met Salman Khan for the first time at his home in Mumbai. Reena recalls that initially the meeting was planned to last only for ten minutes, but the meeting turned out to be very memorable and long. That night Salman Khan came home from the sets of the film ‘Race 3’ and kept partying with everyone the whole night.
Spent my day with Salman
Reena says, ‘His nature is very kind and humble. We sang, danced and had a lot of fun the whole night at their house. It was only four months after my second transplant. At that time I had diabetes and many other health problems, yet I was enjoying a lot. Salman Khan also took him to the sets of ‘Race 3’. Spent the whole day together there. Reena was most happy when Salman sir gifted her the white bicycle from Being Human. Reena had messaged him about this cycle long ago and Salman sir remembered that.
People like Salman are rarely found.
Reena says that people like Salman Khan are rarely found who truly care for others from the heart. Even today, whenever she has any health problem after the transplant, she messages Salman sir. Salman always responds with very loving and positive messages. Reena says that there are many other people like her whom Salman Khan has helped through ‘Being Human’, but they all remain away from the eyes of the common people.
