Salman Khan, Nayanthara resume shooting with Vamshi Paidipally after puja ceremony
A new film starring Salman Khan and Nayanthara officially went on floors with a traditional pooja ceremony in Mumbai.
The project, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, marked the first collaboration between the director and Salman Khan. The launch event was attended by the lead actors, and the makers shared a video from the ceremony.
This marked the first time Vamshi Paidipally had worked with Salman. The director was known for films like Yevadu, Oopiri, Maharshiand Varisu.
Earlier, the makers had confirmed Nayanthara as the female lead. In a social media post, they had written, “The Queen Arrives… It’s an honour to have you on board for something truly special.”
Meanwhile, Salman had been busy with his upcoming film Maatrubhumiwhich was earlier titled Battle of Galwan. Reports had suggested that the film underwent changes before release. A source had said, “At this stage, after making the necessary changes, the team is trying to understand what would be the next steps to ensure its smooth release.”

The source had added, “Now, the makers have shifted the film’s focus to family and relationships, making it a human drama.”
The film was earlier expected to release in April 2026. However, the release was delayed, and a new date had not been announced.
On the other hand, Nayanthara had been preparing for her upcoming romantic film Hiin which she starred alongside Kavin. The makers had recently released a song from the film.

Director Vishnu Edavan had spoken about the project, saying, “I really love feel-good films. I wrote this story with Nayanthara in mind.”
He had added, “Everyone was surprised to see Kavin being paired with Nayanthara, but every character in this film is important.”
The new Salman Khan and Nayanthara film was expected to continue shooting in the coming weeks as production moved forward.
