Salman Khan reached Delhi High Court to stop the release of ‘Black Deer’ film, said – my image is being harmed
New Delhi: Bollywood actor Salman Khan is once again in the news regarding legal disputes. This time the matter is related to the upcoming film ‘Black Deer: Battle for Legacy’. The actor has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court demanding a ban on the production, promotion and release of the film. He says that elements similar to his identity and image have been used in the film, which may affect his reputation.
Why did you object to the film?
Salman Khan alleges that the story and promotional material of the film seem to be indirectly linked to the famous black buck case of 1998. He claimed that some of the scenes and characters shown in the film matched his public image. According to the actor, doing this without permission is a violation of his rights.
Questions raised on promotional material
The petition states that there are clues in the film’s posters and other promotional materials that directly point to his identity. Salman says that his popular image is being used for commercial gain, even though his consent was not taken for it.
Fear of damage to reputation
The actor told the court that old controversies could be raised again through the film. This may affect his image among the common people and damage the reputation built over the years. He has demanded from the court to ban all promotional activities related to the film.
Producers denied the allegations
The film’s producer Amit Jani and his team have rejected Salman Khan’s allegations. He says that the film is not a biography of any particular person. According to the producer, the story is based on broader issues related to wildlife conservation and society and is inspired by available public information.
Now keep an eye on the court’s decision
Delhi High Court can hear the matter soon. The court will decide whether an interim ban should be imposed on the promotion and release of the film or not. This decision may impact the future of the film and its promotional campaign.
