Salman Khan will play the role of ‘superhero’ in the next film, details of the film go viral

In the last few years, many of Salman’s films were performing poorly, especially the 2025 action thriller Sikandar and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, both of which failed to live up to the high expectations surrounding their releases. However, the actor is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film Battle of Galwan, and interestingly, the details of his next project have already created a lot of excitement among the fans.

According to the latest report in Bollywood Hungama, Salman Khan has been in talks with filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, popularly known as Raj & DK, for the last three months. Reports suggest that the duo is currently making a unique superhero film with Salman Khan in the lead role. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Salman Khan will be seen playing the role of a superhero who wants to retire from saving the world because he is tired of doing the same thing over and over again. But circumstances don’t let him live in peace and keep pulling him into action, and ultimately pushing him into a big fight. The story is a mix of big comedy and superhero beats, in fact, it is a high-concept superhero comedy.”

The source further said that Salman Khan has liked the idea but he has some conditions regarding the scale of the film. It is reported that the actor has asked the makers to keep the budget under control, because he does not want to do any expensive superhero film right now. It is being said that Raj and DK are working on the script keeping in mind Salman’s screen personality and character traits.

If everything goes as per plan, then it is expected that the makers will narrate the complete script to Salman Khan in April 2026. If the project gets the actor’s final approval, the film could go on floors by November 2026. It is reported that this project is being supported by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Reel Life Entertainment, and an official announcement may be made around Eid.

Battle of Galwan Update

Meanwhile, Salman Khan is currently focusing on completing his upcoming film Battle of Galwan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The film, which also stars Chitrangada Singh in the female lead role, is scheduled to release in April 2026 and is already creating curiosity among fans.
