While Rishabh Pant became the most expensive player by getting Rs 27 crores, Shreyas was the most expensive player by getting sold for Rs 26.75 crores. Pant was bought by LSG and Shreyas by Punjab. KKR bought Venkatesh Iyer for Rs 23.75 crore, making him the third most expensive player in this auction and the fourth overall. All these three players have gained Rs 10 crore or more from the previous price. But there is also a player who has suffered a loss of Rs 16 crore 10 lakh.
This player suffered a huge loss
England's star all-rounder Sam Curran has suffered a huge loss in the mega auction. In 2022, Punjab Kings bought him for a huge amount of Rs 18 crore 50 lakh but his performance in 3 years was not as per the money. For this reason the team did not retain him. CSK bought Karan in the auction for only Rs 2.40 crore. In this way, based on the previous amount, he suffered a loss of Rs 16 crore 10 lakh.

The hope with which Punjab Kings had bid Rs 18.50 crore on Karan in 2022. They completely failed to fulfill it. Became a part of CSK for the second time. If we look at his IPL career, apart from scoring 883 runs in 59 matches, he has taken 58 wickets in his name. 26 year old Karan has been playing IPL since 2019.

Apart from Sam Curran, Mitchell Starc has lost Rs 13 crore, Sameer Rizvi has lost Rs 7 crore 45 lakh, Spencer Johnson has lost Rs 7 crore 20 lakh and Glenn Maxwell has lost Rs 6 crore 80 lakh.
