Samantha Ruth Prabhu revealed that she literally begged directors Raj and DK to replace her in Citadel: Honey Bunny after being diagnosed with myositis, an autoimmune disorder. Despite her health struggles, she found the strength to continue, showcasing her remarkable resilience and determination.
Samantha spoke about her experience working for Citadel film. She said, ‘ I was literally begging them to move on and get someone else. I also sent them options of many actresses and told them, look at her, she can kill it, and all. But they were not ready to move on. I was so sure that I can’t do it at that time due to my health.”
The makers also wanted to replace her as the film is getting delayed but Varun Dhawan did not accept that. He insisted to wait till samantha is back on sets to finish the film. Samantha said, ”After watching me on screen, I am happy that they didn’t consider replacing me’.
