New Delhi: Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu finally broke her silence over her divorce from Naga Chaitanya. Now, she finally decided to tell the truth. Samantha and Naga got divorced in the year 2021 after four years of marriage. Recently, in an interview with Galatta India, she opened up about the labels she got just because she is a divorced woman.
She even talked about how blatant lies were spread about her after her divorce from Naga and how patriarchal society dissed her. She said that “untrue things” were written about her because she chose to stay silent. Let’s delve into more details!
Samantha slammed people for shifting loyalties
Samantha Ruth Prabhu opened up about people around her who changed their loyalties. She said, “You gain a bunch of people who are so fickle, they may love you for a minute, and then maybe like three days later, you do something stupid and they go back to hating you again.”
She also talked about the trolling she received after her divorce from Naga Chaitanya. She said that she was called “second-hand, wasted life, used” by the people and was pushed to a corner. She also opened up about repurposing her wedding gown and said that it wasn’t revenge although it looked like it. She added, “It was just that ‘yes, this happened’ but it doesn’t mean my life ends there. It begins where it ends. I am happy, doing good work, with incredible people, and looking forward to the next phase of my life.”

Samantha and Naga met on the sets of Ye Maaya Chesave in 2010 and tied the knot in a grand wedding in Goa in 2017. In July 2021, she removed Akkineni from her surname, sparking separation rumours and days before their fourth anniversary, they finalised their divorce.
Now, Naga Chaitanya is all set to tie the knot with Sobhita Dhulipala on December 4.
