IFC has shared the official trailer for Over Your Dead Bodythe upcoming action thriller comedy led by Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) and Jason Segel (Shrinking). The movie is scheduled to arrive in theaters on April 24, 2026.
“In the film, a dysfunctional couple heads to a remote cabin to supposedly reconnect, but each has secret plans to kill the other,” reads the official synopsis.

What happens in the Over Your Dead Body trailer?
The video shows Weaving and Segel as an estranged married couple who suddenly find themselves trying to kill each other at a remote cabin, where they were supposed to be reconnecting. The trailer highlights the movie’s fighting sequences while teasing some of the crazy things they’ll do just to hurt each other. The ensemble cast also includes Timothy Olyphant, Juliette Lewis, Paul Guilfoyle, and Keith Jardine.
Over Your Dead Body is directed by Saturday Night Live alum Jorma Taccone, with Nick Kocher and Brian McElhaney writing the screenplay. It is produced by Kelly McCormick, David Leitch, Aram Tertzakian, Nick Spicer, Guy Danella, and Lee Kim. Executive producers are Taccone, Kjetil Omberg, Jørgen Storm Rosenberg, Tommy Wirkola, Maxime Cottray, Nate Bolotin, Timo Argillander, and Andrea Scarso.
