Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 launched: Equipped with Snapdragon chip, AI health features and 3000 nits display, know the price

Samsung has launched its new smartwatch Galaxy Watch 9 at the Galaxy Unpacked July 2026 event. The company’s new smartwatch has been introduced with better performance, advanced health monitoring and AI based features. Galaxy Watch 9 has the new Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Elite processor, Super AMOLED display, Wear OS 7 and many smart health features.

Samsung claims that the new Galaxy Watch 9 will give users a better and personalized experience for fitness, wellness and everyday needs. This smartwatch comes in two size options and along with it the company has also introduced new designed watch bands.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 price and availability
Pre-order booking of Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 has started in select global markets, while its sale will start soon. The company has launched it in two case sizes 40mm and 44mm.

The price of 40mm Bluetooth model of Galaxy Watch 9 in India has been kept at ₹ 37,999. Whereas the price of its Bluetooth + LTE variant is ₹ 41,999. On the other hand, the Bluetooth variant of the 44mm model is priced at ₹40,999 and the Bluetooth + LTE model is priced at ₹44,999.

The 40mm model has been introduced in Graphite and Cream color options, while the 44mm model will be available in Graphite and Silver colors. Apart from this, Samsung has also launched new watch bands like Sports, Misty and Fabric for this smartwatch.

Display of Samsung Galaxy Watch 9
Galaxy Watch 9 has Super AMOLED Always-On Display. The 44mm model has a 1.47-inch screen, whose resolution is 480×480 pixels. Whereas the 40mm model has a 1.34-inch display, whose resolution is 438×438 pixels.

Both models have a peak brightness of 3000 nits, due to which the screen can be easily seen even in strong sunlight. To protect the display, it has been provided with Sapphire Crystal glass, which makes it stronger.

Equipped with Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset
Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 has Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon Wear Elite (SDW6100) processor. This chipset is based on 3nm process technology, which provides better performance as well as battery efficiency.

The smartwatch has 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It runs on Wear OS 7 operating system, on top of which Samsung’s One UI 9 Watch interface is available.

AI health features and advanced sensors
Samsung has made health and fitness tracking better than ever in Galaxy Watch 9. It has a new BioActive Sensor, which tracks information like heart rate monitoring, electrical heart signals and body composition.

Apart from this, temperature sensor, accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor and ambient light sensor are also provided in the smartwatch.

AI features will provide smart fitness monitoring
Samsung has added many new AI based wellness features in Galaxy Watch 9. This includes Heart Health Score, Fitness Index, Daily Cardio Load, Vitals Monitoring, Hearing Support and updated Sleep Apnea Detection feature.

These features help provide better health insights by analyzing information related to the user’s daily activity, sleep, heart health and fitness.

Battery and connectivity features
The 44mm model of Galaxy Watch 9 has a 445mAh battery, while the 40mm model has a 390mAh battery. This smartwatch supports WPC based fast wireless charging.

For connectivity, it has features like LTE, Bluetooth 6.0, Dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC and Dual-frequency GPS (L1+L5).

Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 has been designed keeping in mind daily use and outdoor activities. This smartwatch comes with 5ATM water resistance, IP68 rating and MIL-STD-810H military grade protection.
