On Monday, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, an improved version of its Z Fold6, which is certainly the company's most advanced foldable phone. Except for the camera island, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition looks almost identical to the Galaxy Z Fold6, its global folding flagship. However, it is a little lighter and thinner with several other small upgrades that further improve the user experience.

Currently available in South Korea, Samsung may expand its availability to China, and the device will not be coming to other markets including India. Priced at 2,789,600 KRW or Rs 1,70,207, it is slightly more expensive than the Galaxy Z Fold6. However, value for money, it has a few more features including a 200MP wide-angle camera, a 6.5-inch cover display and an 8.0-inch foldable screen, making the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition the largest foldable Samsung smartphone. According to the renders, the device is also expected to have a slightly less visible crease when folded.

It is still based on the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. However, it lacks a few things, like an under-display camera, support for the S-Pen, and it's only available in the Black Shadow shade.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will go on sale in South Korea starting October 25 and early buyers who activate the device before October 31 will be able to get some discounts on the Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra products. Can get coupons.
