During this, Atul Pradhan also reacted to the controversial remarks made on Shahrukh Khan. He said that Shahrukh Khan is a citizen of the country and derogatory comments towards any person are unacceptable. He stressed that people holding public office and political identity should show responsibility in their statements.

Demand for CBI investigation in threat case

He said that the time for security review has come, hence such cases are continuously coming to the fore. Atul Pradhan demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter, so that any irregularity or security risk could be controlled in time. The threat received by Sangeet Som came to light when he received a bomb threat following the controversy over the inclusion of Bangladeshi cricketer Mustafizur Rahman in Shah Rukh Khan-owned IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). During this time, Sangeet Som had even called Shahrukh Khan a ‘traitor’, which created an uproar in political and social circles.
