Sanjay Dutt’s ‘Aakhri Sawal’ first look out

The makers of Last questionstarring Sanjay Dutt, posted the first look and also announced the date when it will make it to theaters.

The film will be available to the audience on 15 May 2026, and the project is already drawing attention for what it is trying to portray.

A poster shared on Thursday carried a direct line: “The question India never stopped asking. Get ready to know the answer on 15th May only in cinemas”.

Directed by National Award winner Abhijeet Mohan Warang, the film looks at a story linked to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, one of India’s oldest and most talked-about groups.

Warang, who earlier made the Marathi film Picassonow turns to a subject that many young Indians are curious about but rarely see explained in detail.

The film claims to show a “pivotal meeting” that changed the future of the country.

It also promises to go beyond textbooks and present parts of history that, according to the makers, have stayed out of public view.

Alongside Dutt, the cast includes Amit Sadh, Sameera Reddy and Tridha Choudhury.

In the current scenario, where Bollywood films are accused of spreading political agendas, there is also a wider question here. Can a film about such a subject stay neutral, or will it add to the ongoing debates?

Meanwhile, the makers are keeping the focus on curiosity. Whether audiences see it as history, perspective, or something else, will likely be decided after 15 May.
