2. Devdas (2002)

Devdas Mukherjee (Shah Rukh Khan) is the son of a rich landlord, who is deeply in love with his childhood friend Paro (Aishwarya Rai). But marriage could not take place due to family reasons. Paro gets married to someone else, and Devdas is heartbroken. He meets a courtesan named Chandramukhi (Madhuri Dixit), who falls in love with him, but Devdas drowns himself in alcohol and pain. During the war, he meets a Muslim princess named Mastani (Deepika Padukone) and both fall deeply in love.
