Sanjeev Baliyan’s sharp attack on his own government, pain spilled over in Jat Parliament, said that people in power want to suppress us
News India Live, Digital Desk: There was a stir in the politics of Western Uttar Pradesh when former Union Minister and senior leader Sanjeev Balyan opened a front against his own government. The attitude shown by Balyan from the platform of ‘Jat Sansad’ organized in the capital has created a ruckus in the political corridors from Lucknow to Delhi. Baliyan said in blunt words that ignoring the interests of the society will not be tolerated and if he has to fight for his rights, he will not step back. Baliyan lashed out at his own people: raised questions on the functioning of the government. Sanjeev Baliyan’s pain was clearly visible while addressing the Parliament. Without taking names, he pointed fingers at some decisions of the government and the attitude of the administration. Balyan said that the issues of farmers and youth of Western UP are being deliberately kept on the back burner. He alleged that some people are so intoxicated with power that they are trying to suppress the very society which has brought them from the bottom to the throne. Making a roar from the stage on the employment of youth and neglect of farmers, the former Union Minister said that today the youth of the Jat community are victims of unemployment and neglect. He said, “We are not just a vote bank, we have our own dignity and rights.” Balyan clarified that if the government does not improve its policies in time and does not take care of the dignity of the society, then it may have to face serious consequences in the future. This comment of his is being seen as a big warning before the upcoming elections. A new chapter of Jat politics or a sign of rebellion? These sharp expressions of Sanjeev Balyan have created panic within the BJP as well. Political experts believe that this stance of Balyan is not only a voice of society but also an indication of his changing position within the party. Now it remains to be seen what stand the high command takes on these attacks by Balyan and whether this outrage will script a major political upheaval.
