Sannia Ashfaq shares WhatsApp chats, accuses Imad of forcing abortion

Sannia Ashfaq, the former wife of Imad Wasim, has accused the cricketer of leaving her when she was pregnant with their third child.

In the last few days, Sannia has posted several messages on Instagram, openly accusing the 37-year-old all-rounder of cheating, neglecting children and forced abortion.

Her posts came soon after the medium-fast bowler confirmed his second marriage to Nyla Rajah, only 2 months after announcing his separation from his first wife.

On Tuesday, Sannia tried to support her claims by sharing screenshots of WhatsApp chats, dated July 2025.

In the messages, the cricketer allegedly warns her that he would take legal action if she contacted him or his family.

According to the screenshots, Sannia, who says she was pregnant at the time, asked him to be present for the birth of their child.

The cricketer, however, replied strongly and warned of police complaints if she did not follow his conditions.

She also posted a video where she can be heard accusing Imad of forcing her to undergo an abortion in December 2023 and calling him a “murdere” saying she has proof to support her claims.

She also requested Islamabad United, the PSL team that recently signed him, to take action according to their rules and values.

The mother of three also appeal Pakistan’s prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, and Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi to take notice of her case and initiate an investigation

Imad and Sannia were married in 2019, and their divorce was finalised in December 2025.

Imad, who played 55 ODIs and 75 T20Is for Pakistan, earlier described the end of his first marriage as “one of the hardest chapters” of his life.

“I went through one of the hardest chapters of my life after a marriage that did not work,” he wrote. “That chapter gave me the greatest blessings of my life, my children… I love them beyond words.”
