Santhanam to join Silambarasan-Ashwath Marimuthu’s STR 51: Reports

Last year, the director also dismissed rumours about Silambarasan’s behaviour and shared key details about the genre. “The adrenaline rush that you witnessed in Dragon and the love that you felt in Oh My Kaduvule will be seen in this film. At the same time, the Simbu that you saw during his peak years in films like Kuthu, Dum and Manmadhan will be seen here in a movie that satisfies all audience.” The upcoming film is backed by AGS Entertainment.

Silambarasan much-anticipated film Arsan belongs to the world of Go to Chennai. Besides the actor, Arsan also stars Vijay Sethupathi along with Andrea Jeremiah, reprising her role as Chandra from Go to Chennaiand Yogalakshmi. Samuthirakani is also back as Guna, along with Kishore as Senthil.

Santhanam and Silambarasan’s collaborations go back to early 2000s starting with Kadhal Azhivathillai (2002). Later, they joined hands for Manmadhan (2004), Vallavan (2006), Kaalai (2008), Silambattam (2008), Vaanam (2011), Osthe (2011), Podaa Podi (2012), Whales (2015). They last shared screen space in Idhu Namma Aaluwhich was released in 2016. Silambarasan had also worked as a music director in Santhanam’s Sakka Pod King in 2017.
