Saplings available for free in Delhi, opportunity to carry 10-15 saplings on one identity card
If you are fond of spreading greenery in your house, balcony or surroundings, then this information can prove to be very beneficial for you. In today’s time, people want to plant trees, but expensive plants available in nurseries often spoil the budget. In such a situation, a special initiative of the Delhi government is working to provide relief to the people, where saplings are being made available to the common citizens without any fee.
Facility of providing free saplings from government nursery
Plants not only enhance the beauty of the house, but also play an important role in keeping the environment pure. Lush plants create positive energy around and also provide mental peace. Taking this thinking forward, the Delhi government has started the facility of giving free saplings to the people through a government nursery. The objective of this scheme is to motivate more and more people to plant trees.
This nursery is located very near the famous West to Wonder Park of the capital Delhi. Its location is such that it is very easy to reach here. Those who want to travel by metro can get down at Hazrat Nizamuddin metro station located on the Pink Line. Meanwhile, for those coming by bus, Sarai Kale Khan Bus Terminal is the nearest place. It does not take much time to reach the nursery from here.
The process of getting free plants is simple
The process of getting free saplings has also been kept quite simple. There is no need for any complicated formality or online registration for this. You only need to carry a valid identity proof like Aadhar Card, Voter ID or Driving License. A maximum of 10 plants are given on one identity card. If many people from family or friends come with different IDs, the number of plants can be increased further.
A good variety of plants is available in this nursery. Small, medium and big sized plants are found here. Flowering plants, ornamental plants and many types of medicinal plants are also present here. That means you can select plants according to your need and choice.
This initiative of Delhi Government has been started keeping in mind the increasing pollution and decreasing greenery. The government wants people to plant as many trees as possible in their homes, roads and surrounding areas. This will not only improve the air quality but will also help in controlling the temperature of the city and reducing the stress of the people. This step is being considered a commendable effort towards environmental protection.
